Welcome to sum - bookshop by day; wine bar by night; community always.
We’re seriously playful about wine + books, and the kind of connections that only happen when you put down your phone and pull up a chair. Whether you stop by for a solo read with a glass in hand or a night of lively conversation with strangers-turned-friends, sum is your space to sip, unwind, and mingle.

Weds to Fri: 16:00 - late
Sat - Sun: 12:00 - late
What to expect: Come by during the day for coffee, croissants and a read or to explore our books for purchase. Come by in the evening for wine and conversations.
Reservations: We don't do reservations as we always want to be able to welcome spontaneous plans, so come early to secure a space!
Silent Reading night: Every Wednesday in December + Sunday 14th. Grab a book and come to sum for a chat before & after & an hour of silent reading from 19h - 20h.
Quiz night: Thursday 4th December + a special Christmas quiz 18th Dec. Teams of 4, 2€ buy in pp, bar voucher for the winning team. The quiz starts promptly at 19h, come early to grab a seat & a drink. Get tickets below to secure your spot!
Social Bookclub: Returning January 2026. Sum social bookclub is where good books meet good people. No pressure, no pretence, it's more about the people than the book. Our January book pick is: Tomorrow & Tomorrow & Tomorrow by by Gabrielle Zevin.
My First Bookclub: We will read a few children books from our collection (recommendations welcome) in both German & English while parents can relax over a glass of wine! Sun 7th @15h & Sat 13th @14h.
OUR MENU
We have natural wines on tap and a changing selection of glasses by the bottle. A rotating batch cocktail and beer and soft drinks for non-wine lovers.
During the day we offer tea and coffee and a selection of changing pastries and small bites.
